Lake Bonney/Cobdogla South Australia

Lake Bonney was a place of tranquility and amazing bird life. We stayed a few weeks at Lake Bonney Holiday Park and can highly recommend it. The staff are very friendly and courteous and the park clean and tidy. There is plenty for the kids to do.  You can read more about our stay at Lake Bonney on our travel blog  http://gabblingaroundaustralia.blogspot.com/2010/07/little-birdie-told-me-so.html

Cobdogla is only a short distance form Lake Bonney and is a small town full of positivity and smiles. Whilst staying at Cobdogla Station Caravan Park we had many visit to feed the animals and spent time sitting on the jetty with nothing much on our minds. Read more at:

Tamworth, Balranald, Coffs Harbour and Tenterfield

Although cold and breezy when we visited these town we had the time of our life. There was plenty to see and do. Photo's at the big guitar in Tamworth were a must and a stop of at the Big Banana, Coffs Harbour was fun for all. I had been to the Big Banana on numerous occasions as a child and each time a frozen chocolate coated banana was a must. The tradition was kept alive during this trip as I purchased one for each of the kids. Still as yummy as ever!

This was our first trip to Balranald and  we were surprised when we came across all the frog statues throughout town. Well done Balranald for adding something a little unique and brightening the day of tourists with your comical humour.

Unfortunately we only had time for a quick stop in Tenterfield but will revisit when it is warmer and the sun is shining to check out the history and Peter Allen story.

Our positive messages:

" I would rather regret the things that I have done than the things that I have not" Lucille Ball
" What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday, and our present thoughts build our life of tomorrow. Our life is the creation of our mind.' Buddha

" Every life is a story. Make yours a best seller."

Where have we been?

August and September have just flown by with our travels well and truely on the way. The month of August was spent in New South Wales enjoying fun and sun......of course whilst still working hard. We have had to do a return trip to South Australia due to health commitments but are spending our time wisely spreading the word around South Australia till we leave again.
During our trip we have collected lots of postcards which I will be blogging over the next day or two. I wish I could say the postcards are being sent to us at an alarming rate but it seems that people are hesitant to get this project started. Thank you to the few who have sent us their cards. We hope to receive more in the near future
